CARQUEST - Champions For Charities
The 3rd Annual CARQUEST Champions for Charities program is well underway for 2013. The Event race will be held on Friday June 28th at Stafford Motor Speedway. Check the roster of drivers on the website and see the list of fundraising events that these drivers are donating their time to raise money for their favorite charities. Almost $24,000 has been donated this year to Charities such as, ALZHEIMER'S ASSOC, the animal center, Racing Against Cancer, AUTISM SPEAKS, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Make a Wish and Victory Junction just to name a few!
Activities include Golf Tournaments, Bowling Fundraisers, Track Walkathon's and more...
JOHNNY WALKER will be joining STAN MERTZ (2008-2009 Pro-Four Modified Limited Champion) on June 22nd at The National House, 13 Oak St. Indian Orchard, Ma from 2-6pm for Music, BBQ and Raffles to raise money for Stan's chosen charity, "AUTISM SPEAKS". Additional details to follow next week!

SPRING SIZZLER Weekend Update:
The Walker Racing Crew has worked feverishly over the last few weeks and the 01 Dare Stock is just about ready for SIZZLER Racing! The body has been painted and trimmed and decals are currently being placed on the car.
Preparations for the 2013 season opener are progressing quickly and Johnny is ready for some track time Friday and the first race on Saturday. Weekend weather forecast is looking great and we hope to get to Victory lane with our new sponsors and all of our fans! Check back for news and live photo updates from the track. Crunch time 'til Open Practice and the Spring Sizzler
The countdown to open practice and the Sizzler opener is almost over, Preparations on the car are going at a fevered pace the last few weeks at the race-shop.
Thanks to our Sponsors, SMTA, Bourbeau Welding, Just Wing It - Motorcycle Club, and the support of all the family, friends and fans that came to the Race Party Fundraiser helped the team meet its goal for the new motor.
"LJ Coachworks" has refitted the Dare Stock with new sheet metal and gave Betty some much needed curve appeal!
Aaron and Ben fabricated the new front clip and assemblies so that the new crate motor will fit in the chassis. Matt is putting the finishing touches in the drivers compartment as the clock ticks away.
.....soon we will ready to hear those famous words of racing, Gentleman, "Start Your Engines"

Johnny Walker is eager to start the racing season after a long winter!
Wicker Walker will be back at Stafford Motor Speedway this year piloting the Dare Stock #01.
You will have no problem finding him or his fans anywhere on the track grounds sporting the black "Wicker Wear" T-Shirts or even a wicker hat here and there. Excitement on the race track is what Wicker brings every Friday nite and is looking to get into Winners Circle in 2013.
